okz. i'm back frm STEP camp! (since last sun. hahaha.) really miss all my dearest thai frenz especially SUM PPL. kkz. shall update abt EVERYTINK tt happened durin STEP. fotos of d camp will b posted ltr cuz took ovr 200+ so nid time kz. gd tinks r worth waitin for!!!
DAY 1 STEP CAMP
reached sch A LIL late. 8 ppl were dere already. phew! wasnt last. haha. lishan came ryt aft me! den i saw every1's bag so small n once agn i felt lyk a KS camper. i always end up wf 1 of d biggest bags every camp! so irri. grr. den ms ann came. mrs geh. mrs sin. bus came.
drove us to MAY ADVENTURE CAMP (MAC). d moment we got dwn d bus ms ann waved to tis guy whom she said SHE KNEW den every1 was lyk oOOo! haha. we assembled in d hall wf all our bags n sat 2gather to tok. got bored of waitin so went ard to xplore n tek pics. d dorms' bed look SO horrid n so NOT NICE to slp on. every1 was grumblin away. but toilets were lyk SUPER clean! was quite surprised actually. even took pics of d toilet. haha. hw lame can me get? :P went back to hall. tis yr is d 1st yr dey intro pri schs to STEP. d pri sch pupils while waitin played UNO! so cute! dey definitely came well prepared. haha. schs slowly streamed in. sum wf their thai buddies already. we were waitin for RI guys cuz we tut dey r part of d camp too but sadly not. haha. we were expectin dem in tuxedos n all. haha! crap.
poor tkgs waited for hrs for every1 to come. den our facilitators mr subash n ms siew eng briefed us abt d camp. gave us our badges n we took a whole load of tym rytin n mr suBASH was complainin tt we r old n all. blah. he can get quite crappy actually. heh. when to dorms to put our bags. thank GOd dere were bedsheets n pillows! dere was tis pathetic bed in d mid of d rm n i wanted to slp on tt bed cuz i scared too used to queen sized bed den will roll on ppl. but others wanted space in mid so we moved d beds ard till i was slpin RYT BSIDE D BIN N DOOR! grt. -.- we settled our beds n stuff.
went to airport to pick up thai students. whole bus ride was chao noisy cuz every1 was chao excited. we were lyk tinkin of ways to say hi to thai students in a thai+sg way but obviously we came out wf nth. heh. reached airport. waited at belt 17 T1. bside us were pri sch students frm STEP too. dey came lyk SO well prepared wf banners n posters 'WELCOME!' n we? EMPTY HANDED! hw embarrassin. mrs sin apparently 4GOT to brin d banner. grr. we seemed so unsincere standin bside such a sincere batch of pri sch students. ms ann suggested we all go stand bside d pri sch ppl so our thai frenz might tink d banners n all r OURS! hw lame can she get. haha. n we cont'd discussin wat we shud say when thai girls come out. we ended up decidin on sayin sawadee-KA! waited for AGES when we finally saw their blue coats. we were all SOSO excited. thai girls looked excited too. both schs were wavin lyk crazy to huever was our partners. haha. dey took AGES to get their bags cuz dey brought SO MUCH STUFF! den dey finally walked out of d glass door of belt 17. we quickly found our partners. my is mai! kerri's is pui. jan's is mook. nad's is mild. tasia's is bua. jacq's is view. lishan's is took. andrea's is ben. batasha's is pang. anne's is natty. dey haf cute nicks ryt? mayb i shud find one myself. haha. den took grp pic. SOOOO many cameras smile until mouth solid. lucky thai ppl brought banner den not so empty. haha. den i wanted to b a nice partner n help mai drag her luggage n it turned out to b SO heavy i almost died.
we finally reached d bus n went back to MAC. on way bus was quieter cuz every1 was tokin to their thai partners demurely (cuz muz mek gd 1st impression mah! demure!) mai's on d quieter side so i juz shoot her wf loads of q. sumtyms really cant tink of anytink so juz sit n daze. haha. reached MAC. dragged mai's bag all d way up. every pair had difficulty gettin d bags up d stairs cuz it was really too heavy but we d strong womans obviously succeeded. haha. den when back to dorm F n laid d bedsheets n bags n assigned beds to every1. thai girls went to change n we went to hall. met mr subash dere n he breifed us abt camp n gave thai girls their name tags n bklets n all. he kept slowin dwn in his speech cuz it was veh indian n fast so thai girls cudnt understand. haha.
den we went to back of MAC where d canal was n subash gave tis speech to thais abt hw singaporeans cant swim in canals n all. so lame! tis kinda tink oso muz say. haha. den he wanted to c how much eng d thais can speak so he wanted each of dem to tell their partners which is us tk girls their 1st impression of us. so tk girls spaced out on d curb den a lame idea struck me. since we were all so spaced out i wanted all of dem to put their heads dwn lyk prisonor of war liddat. den i took a video n pics of dem. so nice! den thai girls came to tell their thai partners abt their firz impression of dem. mai told me she tut i was nice, frenly blah. all d gd tinks obviously. i mean. dey cant possibly say sth bad to us ryt? haha. den we told dem oso. den subash asked each n every1 wat we learnt frm our partners cuz he wanted thai girls to speak up n c waz their standard of eng n all.
den we went to team buildin obstacles. went to spiderweb firz. did it b4 in missin mission camp so knew wat it was abt. we were cheatin all d way cuz our bodies were obviosuly touchin d nets but subash din really bother so ok. den went to d tyre station. me n jan were obviously d bottom carriers of d ppl n our poor heads almost got banged to d wood tink. cuz d ppl we were carryin were movin too much. den when to d tarzan station. haha. did it b4 in p5 camp so obviously i knew howta get d rope to our side. use shoe+laces lah! jan wanted to tek off shirt i was lyk no! got subash dere leh. haha. she veh open oso. (lyk steph!) haha. stupid subash keep sayin i'm dead cuz d sea monster ate me up liao cuz i was standin on sea. lame! we obviously cheated agn. haha! every1 safely crossed d 'sea'/ aft tt subash allowed us to fool ard wf d tink so we took pics of ppl swingin. den while i was swingin d ppl frm both sides push me back n forth until i lyk pendulum liddat. in end fail cuz was havin rope burns on my hand. grr.
den when for dinner. fd was OK. d utensils we suppose to wash OURSELVES! so gross kz. den is lyk d nxt meal u eatin u muz pray tt d person wash ur utensils clean if not die liao. haha.
aft dinner, we all went up to hall to prepare our campfire dance. tk girls tut thai girls d 'line dance' steps. thai girls all learnt veh fast. only prob is tt sum thai girls r d 'cool' type so dey dun really wana do batasha's step. haha.
den went to bathe. me n nad bathed last cuz we both bathe veh slow so bathe last can tek our own sweet tym. haha. d water was chao cold n i was lyk screamin away. haha. went back to rm n waited for hair to dry while every1 'slept'. firz nyt obviously every1 crap lah. haha. but every1 got tired n went to bed except me n ben. ben obviously msgin her bf agn. haha. den she went to bed den me alone dere sittin still waitin for hair to dry. cudnt really slp oso cuz was worryin abt flyin fox d nxt day. its lyk chao high but if i dun do i'll regret for my whole life!!! in end gave up n went to bed. was quite hard to get to slp cuz juz outside was d highway n dere were many cars zoomin pass so d noiz was quite irri. addin to tt, d mattress is lyk chao thin so can practically feel d bar below d mattress. veh uncomfortable. lyk d princess n d pea. hahaha.
